These terms and conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of GluFind's website and services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Your account

• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens through your account.
• You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to manipulate the Service.
• You may not impersonate someone else or use a name that is intended to mislead others.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, abusive, or that infringes on someone else's rights.
• Post reviews or ratings that are not based on your genuine personal experience.
• Attempt to manipulate ratings, reviews, or search results, such as by coordinating with others to post positive or negative reviews.
• Use automated tools like bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Service, except as permitted by our robots.txt file.
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service or overload it with excessive requests.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

3. Content

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service, such as reviews, ratings, and profile information. By posting content, you grant GluFind a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Service. You are solely responsible for your content. Do not post content that you do not have the right to share.

Our content

The GluFind directory, including listing data, confidence ratings, source citations, and the design of the Service, is owned by GluFind. You may not copy, redistribute, or republish our directory data without permission.

Third-party content

The Service contains links to third-party websites and references to third-party data sources. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party content.

4. Reviews and ratings

• Reviews should reflect your genuine personal experience at a restaurant or with a product.
• We may moderate, edit, or remove reviews that violate these Terms or our community guidelines.
• We are not liable for the accuracy of user-submitted reviews. Reviews represent the opinions of the users who wrote them, not GluFind.
• Restaurant owners may respond to reviews but may not post fake reviews about their own or competitors' businesses.

5. No medical advice

GluFind is a directory, not a medical resource. Information on the Service is provided for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always verify gluten-free status directly with the restaurant. If you have celiac disease or a severe gluten sensitivity, ask about cross-contamination protocols every time you eat out. GluFind is not liable for any health issues that arise from relying on information on the Service.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information on the Service. Restaurant menus, procedures, and suppliers change without notice. Use the Service at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GluFind and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us, if anything, in the 12 months before the claim arose.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold GluFind harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms, including claims related to content you post.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can close your account by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including if you violate these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including the disclaimers and limitation of liability.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service before the changes take effect. By continuing to use the Service after the changes become effective, you agree to the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in the United States.
